Solar energy is a renewable and sustainable energy source, meaning it will never run out. Solar street lights work by harnessing energy from the sun through solar panels, storing that energy in a battery, and using it to power an LED light at night. The advantages of solar street lights are reducing energy bills and low maintenance. However, the use of solar energy still attracts many questions from customers.

We recently have a project for a client in the USA for solar street lighting in a soccer stadium. When we were considering this solution, firstly we determine the location of solar street light,we accurately measure the location of the customer and we adjusted the direction of the solar panels according to the longitude and latitude of the customer's location, the location should have adequate sunlight exposure.

Secondly we use the actual illumination level as a reference for the installation height and advised our customers on the appropriate installation height.

After discussion and research, the customer finally chose our 120W solar LED street light series. This solar street light has 15-17 LUX at a height of 7 metres and is supplemented by utility lighting next to it, which absorbs solar energy and converts it into energy for lighting when there is enough sunlight. Utility lighting is used when there is not enough sunlight.
